Clinicians (registered health professionals) and Peer Support Specialists (who have personal lived experience) work together to support young people make positive choices around their alcohol and other drug use, to live their best life.
Upon joining the service, young people can read profiles of staff and select who they would like to work with.
Young people are supported to holistically identify what goals they wish to set, and who they would like to support them in this process e.g. whanau, friends, other services etc. Individual values and beliefs are respected deeply when building each programme. Plans are therefore tailored with the understanding that every young person has different needs.
EaseUp wishes to build the self-efficacy of young people and their whanau by supporting them to achieve SMART format goals, offering tools and skills to make positive choices, and connect with resources for long lasting change.
Our free service provides:
- Assessment and consultation
- Individual and group options

- Mobile services delivered at a location of the young person/whanau’s choice
