Description
Family Link staff facilitate an eight week (one evening per week) 'Family Connections' programme for family and whānau who have a loved one experiencing Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). The Family Connections programme is free to participants, is facilitated by trained staff and includes teachings about:

- Criteria of BPD
- Dysregulation
- Basic assumptions
- Research
- Important considerations
- Treatment settings
- Types of treatment
- Co-occurring problems
- Stressors
- Emotional sensitivity/reactivity
- Environmental factors
- Stigma
- Relationship mindfulness
- Family environment skills
- Validation skills
- Radical Acceptance
