Referral Process
All referrals to the service are made through Witherlea Mental Health Team.
Description
The service is located in a 4 bedroom house in a quiet, residential area in Blenheim.
Hapai Te Ora is run by and for consumers and aims to provide a safe, warm and welcoming place where people who experience mental illness can come for ‘time out’ from their own home and/or when feeling unwell and needing extra support. The house is staffed 24 hours a day, with (awake) staff available to guests during the night if needed. The house is open every day, all year round.
The service works closely with the Mental Health Team at Witherlea to ensure that guests’ mental health needs are monitored and attended to. Stays are typically short visits, depending on individual need and bed availability.
