Referral Process

This service receives referrals from the hospital services, Te Waharoa and other organisations.

Description

The team provides specialist mental health care to mothers during pregnancy or during the first 12 months after birth who are suffering from a mental illness. The focus is community based and all services are offered in conjunction with other providers. Treatment is provided by consultant psychiatrists, therapy team, clinical psychologists, keyworkers, social workers and support staff.
