Referral Process

Anybody can make a referral, including the young person. Referrals should be made to Ngaa Ringa Awhina's Single Point of Entry Service. For more information, click here or call (07) 839 5146.

This service is provided in the Greater Hamilton area (Meremere to Te Aroha, Matamata and Cambridge through to Ohaupo, out to Raglan and back through Ngāruawāhia and Huntly).

Description

We are a Kaupapa Māori Service providing specialist mental health and addiction services to children/tamariki, youth/rangatahi and their whānau/family.

• We work to support you, your family and your friends during times when problems like these become too much for you to manage on your own
• You'll be given a team who will help you recognise the things you are good at doing and how you can use these strengths to grow
• We provide awhi and support to help you learn ways to cope with tough stuff that can make you feel low, worried, hurt and alone
• We'll also connect you, your whānau/family and supports/friends with other community services, as appropriate
• And we'll work to meet your specific cultural needs, taking the time to listen, get to know you and help you to feel well supported.
