Referral can be made by any agency and self-referrals are welcomed by contacting us directly on (06) 873 2111 or freephone 0800 234 556.
This service is for parents who are:
- Pregnant and/or have children under three years of age
- Experiencing difficulties with alcohol or other drugs
- Poorly connected to services
Description
Te Ara Manapou is a non-judgmental intensive support service for pregnant women or parents with children under three years of age, who are experiencing problems with alcohol or drugs.
The team provides support to help mums and dads regain control of their lives by:
- Meeting where you feel safe
- Helping you to reach recovery and parenting goals to improve outcomes for your children
- Working on your behalf to reduce stigma you might experience from other services
- Provide education on the effects of alcohol and other drug use during pregnancy and on parenting
