Description

Kotuku is a 4-bed crisis and planned respite house in the country where people who are experiencing an emotional or mental crisis can stay for up to one and a half weeks, as an alternative to hospitalisation. The aim is to provide a comfortable, non-judgemental environment in which the guests are supported to process the stresses they are experiencing and explore new options for their recovery journey.

This is a 24 hour, 7 day a week respite service that is fully peer managed and led using intentional peer support model of practise.
