The Peer Tree is a peer support service developed by Kites Trust in 2016, which provides community support for young adults in Wellington City who experience mental distress. The Peer Tree was born out of a forum held by Early Intervention Service in 2014 who, after several conversations, found that, for young adult (aged 18-24 years old) service users they felt that their biggest need for their mental health recovery was more peer support in the community. Our Workshop We believe that we need tools and skills to support one another effectively in our mental wellbeing. We provide workshops to help us do this as safely and effectively as possible. Referral Process
The Peer Tree is a community based, peer support initiative specially for young adults between the ages of 18-30 years old experiencing mental distress. Young adults do not need a referral to come to our groups and can simply turn up.
