Formerly MidCentral DHB - Acute Inpatient Mental Health Unit - Ward 21

High Needs and Acute units for those service users who require a higher level of treatment and observation for their mental health. We have a multidisciplinary team helping you and your family / whānau on your recovery. Our professional clinical staff support you on your journey to discharge. We have a holistic approach to your wellbeing; your safety and wellbeing are key to recovery, along with hope.

Within this unit there is a sensory modulation room. This room is used by Service Users who display levels of distress and anxiety which can be managed using sensory modulation. We have a multi disciplinary team helping you and your family / whānau on your recovery. Professional clinical staff to support you on your journey to discharge. Your safety and wellbeing is the keystone to recovery, along with hope.
