Description
MidCentral Health Community Mental Health Services are provided by four teams based in Feilding, Palmerston North, Tararua and Horowhenua.
The Feilding / Manawatu Mental Health Team provides services covering Feilding, Sanson and outlying rural areas.

Referral Process
Referrals are accepted via self-referral, GP or community agencies for individuals, aged 18 years plus, in Feilding, Sanson and outlying rural areas.
Existing service users are encouraged to contact their key-worker in the first instance.

Description
The service provides culturally appropriate assessments and treatment for adults from 18 years plus suffering from a moderate to severe level of mental illness. The Feilding team is a multi disciplinary team that aims to provide quality recovery focused service.
Supportive care/treatment during acute phases of unwellness, medication prescribing and monitoring, individual therapy e.g. CBT (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy), relapse prevention planning, recovery focussed work with individual clinicians.
During business hours, MidCentral Health Community Mental Health Teams offers a mental health emergency service in their area.
