PeerZone facilitates peer support groups for employees who have experienced disabling or disruptive mental distress.
The peer support groups give them a safe and structured environment to talk about their experiences and share practical tools for self-management. Typically, the employees meet for 1.5 hours a fortnight during or after work hours. The group process is flexible but we usually use this format:
- Sharing round.
- Facilitator shares a wellbeing resource.
- The group discusses the wellbeing resource.
- The group decides on a wellbeing topic for next time.
