Referral Process

Referral is open to self-referral and community referrals for parents with children with difficult behaviour.


The Hamilton based Whanau Team provide service for families of children with difficult behaviours, including diagnosed and undiagnosed Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD) and related challenging and disruptive behaviours.

Rostrevor House provides social work support which includes one to one parenting and meaningful activities and support groups for parent/caregivers who have children with difficult behaviour.

Parent/caregivers will increase their skill and knowledge to effectively respond to adverse child behaviour and improve child development.

Whanau are empowered with coping strategies to manage child behaviour effectively and safely.
