Referral Process

All Youth Respite referrals come through Canterbury DHB Specialist Mental Health Services.

Adult Planned Respite days are allotted by GPs annually and clients can self-refer on an as needed basis.

Please see here for referral forms and more information.

Our Youth Service has one bed in total for respite in the residential facility. The Adult Service has 6 Peer-Led Planned Respite beds.

All of our Adult Respite Services provide a warm and supportive environment for short stays. There is some ability to meet bespoke needs. Planned Peer-Led Respite is recovery focused with people helping each other through their journey. Guests help with meal preparation and do their own laundry.

Youth Respite provides young people with the opportunity to have a change of scene and support to manage times of crisis.
