Referral Process
You can refer yourself to the services in New Plymouth, or any of our regional clinics in Hawera, Opunake, Waitara or Stratford. Referrals can also be made to the services by GPs, probation officers, lawyers, courts or other health social services.
Description
The Alcohol and Drug Team provide managed withdrawal services with medical support. This can be provided as an inpatient service at Taranaki Base or Hawera Hospital, or may be better provided in conjunction with another community service.
