Referral Process
We take referrals from anywhere. You can come in and see us, call us on the phone or someone else can do that for you. Call 0800 468 228.
Any way you do it, we will try to make you feel safe and comfortable. We'll speak to you to set a time to first meet, agree on where we can meet and check if you would like other people to come with you (e.g. family/whānau, a friend, kaumātua).
Description
This service operates as the Youth INtact service for Ōtorohanga, Taumarunui and Te Kuiti. We help rangatahi who are between 12 and 19 years of age, their family/whānau and friends who have concerns about their own or someone else's alcohol and other drug use.
We act quickly to provide easily accessible and effective support services to rangatahi, helping them learn skills to make changes to their drug and alcohol use and achieve the best health and wellbeing.
We provide free "one-to-one" counselling and therapy for young people to help them build on their strengths. We encourage family/whānau involvement.
