Te Menenga Pai Nga Whare Hauora

Mental Health & Addictions Service, Kaupapa Māori

Description

Te Menenga Pai Nga Whare Hauora receives all referrals through the Needs Assessment Coordination Service (NASC) within Capital & Coast DHB.

With changes currently occurring, Maaori contracts will be moved into The Māori Health Authority. It is certainly an exciting time for us.

Tangata motuhake are in this whare long term as they have nowhere else to live and have high and complex needs that require 24 hour supervision, medication support and interaction within the community.

Te Menenga Pai Nga Whare Hauora ensures that all Tangata motuhake are treated equally and accommodate for the different ethnic groups, as it is not just Maaori referred and we have Pacifica and non Maaori.
