Referral Process

To enter Ngā Kapua o Te Ao, tangata whaiora must:

  • Have completed a Support Needs Assessment  or Crisis Needs Assessment with an approved assessment service (ask us for a list of approved services).
  • Have completed our referral documents (ask us for a copy and we’ll send it to you).

Ideally they should:

  •  Be over 20 years of age.
  •  Have support from whānau and/or support person(s) and/or a mental health service.
  •  Be willing, open and committed to living in a whānau-like residence.
  •  Be committed to abstaining from illicit substance use.
Description

We provide residential care and support to tangata whaiora on a planned basis to enable them and their whānau to take ‘time away’ for rest and relaxation.
