Whai Marama Youth Connex Services is part of the Te Rūnanga Ō Kirikiriroa group of services providing Specialist Kaupapa Maori & Infant, Child and Adolescent Mental Health care to the Southern Waikato Area.
As a member of the Southern Waikato Cluster group of services, Whai Marama’s ‘Point of Difference’ in delivery of services to Tamariki and Rangatahi combines the best clinical and cultural models of mental health care to whānau and family.
The integrity of the service and its practitioners are driven by a ‘Values based’ practice that includes:
Mana Rangatira – Assisting whānau to aspire to leadership and autonomy
Whanaungatanga – Connecting with family and extended families/networks
Manaakitanga – Empowering whānau and achieving a whole of family approach
Arohatanga – Nurturing and applying unconditional love
We realise that “Wellness is achieved when Whānau/Family understand their whakapapa”.
