Mental Health & Addictions Service

Description

People don’t care how much you know... until they know how much you care

“Tee warea e te tangata o mohiotanga kia mohio raano kit e nui o to manawanui”

We have been in the business of caring for people for over two decades and provide accommodation, support and services to individuals who are current users of Lakeland District mental health services.

Braemore operates from a primary site located in Ngongotaha with the service offering 24/7 support to a maximum of 6 people at any one time. We also provide services within the community ranging from medication delivery to intensive daily supports.

All funding is sourced directly through the Lakeland District Health Board and all referrals must come through LinkPeople. If you or Braemore staff believe that your needs have changed LinkPeople will be requested to complete a review of your assessment.

If you (or someone you know) are caring for a person who is a current user of mental health services then you may be eligible for applying for carer respite which is 28 days per year of support in the home or in a residential facility. You can discuss this option with a Social Worker.
