Self-referrals can be made by people who have used, or who are currently using, mental health services.
The programme of community group activities available at The White House includes a Monday morning cafe visit, a weekly music group, a baking group and a walking group. Intermittent activities are also offered such as social evenings, Breakfast Club and others.
Home-cooked meals can also be bought by members three days a week.
The White House provides access to employment and training opportunities, computer and phone, TV and games.
Day and overnight respite trips have begun and are organised by members.

Membership is free.
The White House is a Peer-Led Day Support Service managed and staffed by its members with the assistance of a Support Manager.
Paid work is available for Peer Support Workers as activities co-ordinators, cooks, dishwashers, admin staff and a gardener.
Located in The Wood, we are 10 minutes walk from Nelson CBD.
We also have a van which can pick up and drop off members, as required.
