Description
During the Covid 19 response Victoria House is operating differently than normal, in accordance with the Ministry of Health. What our service looks like will change as we progress through different levels of the response. Please make contact with us via email or phone and we will update you on what we are offering at present.
Our mission is to enhance the wellness of people with mental illness, through helping them achieve goals in the world outside of illness and therapy models.

Staff
Victoria House Staff
Victoria House is staffed by suitably qualified Mental Health and Addiction Support Workers who have a variety of qualifications, skills and experience.
Tutors
Victoria House also employs a number of tutors to lead some of our activities. These tutors have been employed at Victoria House because they have impressive skills in their chosen craft and also have an understanding and empathy for those with Mental Illness and Addiction
Consumer Advisor
A Consumer Advisor is involved in the broad operational planning of the organisation and liaises with the Board. The Consumer Advisor runs a house meeting once a fortnight before the Thursday evening meal to obtain feedback from clients. They are also available during the week to meet to offer support to clients of Victoria House
Maori Representative
An appointed Maori representative is available to offer support to the consumers/tangata whaiora who enter the service to ensure their needs are met
Pacific Island Representative
An appointed Pacific Island representative is available to offer support to consumers/tangata whaiora to ensure their needs are met.

Public Holidays: Closed on all public holidays.
Charges
There is a small charge for meals, in order to cover costs.
All other services and activities are free.
Public Transport
We provide some transport to our clients to assist them in attending our activities. Information about the transport available is available from the Support Workers at Victoria house
We also provide transport to those in Waimate and Temuka once a month to attend our weekend service. (Booking is essential)

There is a large carpark at the back of the house available for use during our opening hours
