Description

Taranaki Primary Connections (TPC) is a free Taranaki-wide service for youth and adults with mild to moderate mental health and addictions needs who cannot meet the costs of private counselling or are unable to access services such as the Employee Assistance Programme (EAP).

It connects and co-ordinates brief counselling and psychological support, following a referral from a health professional or designated community organisation.

Priority is given to adults and youth (10-19 years), Māori, Pasifika, low income and rural people. A clinical coordinator triages and co-ordinates referrals, and considers extensions to packages of care as advised by the provider.
