DHB clinical services
- Those in the general hospital who are existing patients / clients of Mental Health & Addiction Service (MH&AS) or
- General hospital inpatients and those attending ED who may have a psychiatric disorder or
- Those attending campus outpatient clinics that require specialist Consultation liaison services e.g. Pain clinic, Renal dialysis, Rheumatology, Neurology.
The service provides specialist assessment, advice and information for hospital departments during normal working hours. Assessments are prioritised for ED and inpatients.
When required, CL assesses and reviews patients in the general hospital who require specialist mental health service (not solely restricted to adults) and who meet entry criteria.
