Description

Our Social Workers can support people, aged 12 and over, with mild – moderate depression and/or anxiety or situational stress that is being made worse by social issues such as housing or accommodation, employment or unemployment, financial stress, family relationships or alcohol and substance use issues.

The objective of the Social Worker is to improve mental health and well-being by providing a brief intervention to relieve the symptoms of psychosocial distress caused by external stressors.

The Social Worker can apply a range of therapeutic options to improve a person’s mental health using a strengths based approach and taking the needs of the whole person into consideration.

The Social Worker can also support people to link with other specialised agencies such as for housing, employment, financial assistance and family relationships, and assist with the referral process.
