Who is it for?
The programme is suitable for boys who have high needs for their age and who are on the pathway to developing conduct problems later in adolescence. These boys may already have conduct behavioural challenges, and would benefit from a therapeutic placement.
Description
Te Pania is a Youth Horizons Teach Family Home in Napier. It is a community-based residential service catering for up to five young males (10-17 years old) who have been referred by Oranga Tamariki. The programme uses the Teaching Family Model. The period of care is up to one year. Transition support workers are available to work alongside families when necessary to help build on the skills taught in Te Pania.
