Description
CORT Community Housing (Community of Refuge Trust) is a registered community housing organisation providing homes for people on very low incomes in Tāmaki Makaurau, Auckland. CORT has been offering community housingfor more than 30 years.
We are a non-government, not-for-profit community organisation and a registered charitable trust. Any operating surplus created by the trust is used to grow and improve the work we do.

The trust was established in 1987 by Ponsonby Baptist Church. Over the years the trust has slowly built up its housing stock through building and buying properties and leasing from private landlords. The trust is supported through rental income, grants, philanthropic trusts and Te Whatu Ora. CORT operates in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland. If you are looking to live independently, give us a call or get your Key Worker or Community Worker to contact us. We have an application/referral form for you to fill in which will provide us with information on what you are looking for and what properties will best suit you. You will need to be on the Public Housing Register, which means making an application to Work and Income for housing as well.
