Description
Hoarding Unpacked supports in-depth understanding and effective approaches to the complex condition of hoarding disorder and associated behaviours. Hoarding Unpacked builds worker confidence and strengthens worker approaches. Maire Barron has been working in the welfare field since 1998, and with hoarding disorder and associated behaviours across NZ and Australia since 2011, and is a current NZAC member and specialist mental health worker in this field.

Maire has been working in the welfare field since 1998 and in this specialised field since 2011, and has extensive hoarding industry experience including as a specialist mental health worker and therapist, direct in-home support work with people who hoard, individual and group supervision for workers, consultancy for government agencies and development and presentation of training material and courses. Fees and Charges Description
For frontline workers and organisations:
Training prices vary across private delivery, community training, bulk ticket purchases, online delivery etc. Supervision prices are $220 an hour. Consultancy is varied pending project requirements.
For direct work to clients:
ACC has provided funding for specialist mental health support for those with a hoarding disorder diagnosis, via the Sensitive Claims Service - as Maire Barron is NZAC member and works with ACC as an external provider.
Also Work and Income disability allowance can provide additional financial support towards therapy.
Please note Maire Barron only offers direct support to clients to a very minimal number of clients. Therapy is $220 an hour.
