Description
Piringa Mental Health Support is a Kaupapa Māori charitable trust that supports tangata whaiora and whānau on their recovery toward mental wellbeing.
Staff
Our staff undertake training in the New Zealand Diploma - Mental Health and Addictions Level 6, Medications Training, and must complete the mandatory online training in the Privacy Act 2020, Health ABC, Modules in Code of Rights, Complaints Management and Informed Consent. They are expected to complete the Full First Aid Training course and refresher course.

Fees and Charges Description
Services are free however Residential clients pay RSS. Clients staying in our flats are charged rent through Work and Income, which includes bond. This is two weeks rent and two weeks rent in advance.

Piringa Mental Health Services are open 24 hours per day, seven days per week with rostered on staff. This includes all Public Holidays.

The client lives at home either on their own or with others. Staff visit the home to provide support services which may include medication support, assistance with daily living tasks, tenancy support as well as advocacy and advice. This service operates 24 hours/ 7 days per week.

Planned Respite
Planned Respite provides the client with additional intensive support for a short time in the Residential Service, when required.
