Te Piringa Āhuru Peer Hub, operated by Ember, is part of the newly established network of Crisis Cafés providing free support for individuals experiencing emotional distress. Located at Hunters Plaza, it provides a welcoming, calming space as an alternative to visiting Middlemore Hospital’s Emergency Department. Support is delivered by trained peer support workers, people with lived experience, who know what it means to navigate difficult moments.
