MB ChB 2000 Otago; FRACS (Paeds) 2010

I was born and raised in Southland and completed my medical degree in Dunedin. After graduating I gained experience in Paediatrics, Surgery and Urology prior to staring my FRACS training. During my training I worked in Wellington, Auckland, and Sydney. Throughout my training I have developed additional experience in Paediatric Urology and following completion of my Fellowship I spent time in the United Kingdom at Birmingham Children’s Hospital gaining further specialised Paediatric Urology experience.

Since my appointment at Starship in 2010, I have worked as a General Paediatric Surgeon with a predominantly Urological workload. In addition to my clinical work I have an appointment with the University of Auckland and am involved particularly in final year medical student teaching and assessment. My teaching role extends to surgical trainees also through involvement in the Board of Paediatric Surgical training and Paediatric Urology education through SPUNZA.
