The Hepatitis Foundation of New Zealand is a not-for-profit organisation that provides free support for people living with chronic hepatitis B. It is funded by the Ministry of Health.

We also work to raise awareness of hepatitis.

Everyone enrolled in the Foundation's long-term monitoring programme receives regular education, resources, support and referral to secondary care if required. Our hepatitis community nurses contact patients for lifestyle and education and take blood samples where required. We also offer education and FibroScan (liver ultrasound) clinics in community settings in partnership with GPs and other health providers.

The Hepatitis Foundation of New Zealand was established 30 years ago. More than 30,000 New Zealanders with chronic hepatitis B are enrolled in the free programme.
