9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Our hours have changed owing to pressure in the team here. We will open at 9am and close at 5pm until the rush is over. Saturday hours will be 9-12 only. Sorry about this but the team is exhausted and we want to maintain safe practice.
Please take care of each other at this time. As things are changing rapidly and we are trying to keep the pharmacy's services going, we may need to work from behind closed doors or ask you to wait outside to maintain social distancing. Please do not be offended by this, but we don't want our team sick too. It's not just Covid-19 out there, Flu and Cold season is on its way.
Westview Pharmacy does not offer the Flu vaccine, many of our colleagues do. Those people over 65, the young and those with certain chronic illnesses are funded to receive their Flu vaccine from a pharmacist or their GP. The Flu vaccine will not protect against Covid-19, but many frail people will struggle to fight both viral infections at the same time.
If you don't want to come in to collect your prescriptions we can use a courier service to deliver to you, or if you call us and let us know who is picking up your medicines we can hand the medicines over to that person. This service at present will not be paid for by the Waitemata DHB, we will charge $5 a delivery to cover our costs.
Pharmacists can help to support the health of your family; they can provide advice and treatment for common minor illnesses for all ages.
Pharmacists ensure that prescriptions are dispensed correctly and that the medicine and dose is appropriate for you, so that you receive the maximum benefits from your medicines. Your pharmacist will help you understand what your medicines are prescribed for, how to take them, possible side effects and how to store them.
All advice and treatment is conducted in a professional and confidential manner and most services are provided free of charge and do not generally require an appointment.
For safe disposal, please return any expired or unwanted medicines, or needles/lancets and syringes to your pharmacy. For safe handling of sharps please return them in a small puncture proof container e.g. clean empty cream bottle or crushed aluminium can.
Please don't hesitate to contact us directly if you have any questions.
