Description

Acknowledging that communication is key to effective healthcare management, we guarantee that all GP referrals will receive a clinic letter within two weeks of your patients being seen.

At Fillan Healthcare our vision is to provide the highest quality private mental healthcare. We have branches in St Heliers, Avondale and Rosedale on the North Shore and can offer urgent appointments at all clinics.

By having psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, counselling psychologists and counsellors in the same clinic we are able to offer comprehensive, evidence-based care for all of your mental health needs.

We have a reputation of offering quick appointments and can see your patient as a matter of urgency if necessary.

We are also able to provide urgent court reports.

Whether it be a one off consultation to formulate a management plan or more in depth comprehensive series of appointments involving both psychologist and psychiatric input, we can offer appointments at any of our clinics. The location of our branches effectively covers most of Auckland.

Our clinic is the only clinic in New Zealand that specialises in Adult ADHD by offering multidisciplinary input in the diagnosis and treatment of the condition. We also specialise in depression, anxiety and alcohol use disorders.

We work with our patients to formulate a management plan that will offer the best evidence based treatment. We specialise in helping people cope effectively with the difficulties that they are facing and help to work on reducing or changing any behaviours that may be causing problems.

Our lead psychiatrist is Simon Bainbridge:

Simon (Psychiatrist): special interests include Adult ADHD as well as depression, anxiety and alcohol use disorders. Read more about Simon here

A consultant psychiatrist is a doctor who, after basic medical qualifications, receives further training and develops the expertise to become a ‘specialist’ in identifying symptoms of, and diagnosing and treating, mental illnesses. You may have been referred to a consultant psychiatrist if your doctor feels you need specialist help.

A psychologist is a non-medical specialist in the diagnosis and treatment of mental illness, abnormal behaviour and psychiatric problems. They provide psychological evaluation, assessment, testing and treatment for people experiencing mental or emotional problems.
