Description
Anthony Cheng is an orthopaedic surgeon specialising in hand and wrist surgery and in peripheral nerve injuries.
Anthony graduated from Auckland Medical School with Distinction in 2006. He began orthopaedic surgical training in 2008, and became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in Orthopaedic Surgery in 2015. Subsequently, he completed post fellowship training in Australia in hand and wrist surgery, brachial plexus injuries and wrist arthroscopy. Anthony was awarded the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons Post Fellowship Education Training (PFET) programme certificate in Hand and Wrist surgery.
Anthony is a consultant surgeon with North Shore Hospital's orthopaedic department, as well as maintaining a private practice specialising in hand and wrist surgery. He is an active member of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, New Zealand Orthopaedic Society and the New Zealand Society for Hand Surgery. He contributes to the teaching and training of new surgeons and has ongoing research interests in orthopaedic biotechnology.
