Originally from Taupō, Alistair studied Medicine in Dunedin at the University of Otago, later completing a post-graduate diploma in paediatrics. He completed his Radiology training at CDHB.
 
He completed a fellowship in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (O+G) imaging at Christchurch Women's Hospital. Alistair is now undertaking a fellowship at Pacific Radiology in O+G imaging before starting a musculoskeletal imaging fellowship also at PRG.
