Profile

A highly experienced clinician of more than 20 years and a Pacific Radiology radiologist, Dr Byron Oram is based in Canterbury. Byron also spent time in the role of Managing Partner at Pacific Radiology Australia for 5 years, prior to returning to Canterbury.
 
Byron completed his studies at Otago University, followed by radiology training in Christchurch, and a fellowship in MRI with Christchurch Radiology Group in 2007, thereafter pursuing many subspecialties.
 
Byron has a particular interest in radiology-guided procedures for pain relief and is one of the few New Zealand radiologists providing imaging-guided radiofrequency and chemical ablation for nerve pain. Byron is passionate about improving the patient journey and delivering excellence in radiology for both patients and referrers.
