Profile

I am a General Adult psychiatrist and am originally from Sri Lanka. I obtained Doctor of Medicine in psychiatry in Sri Lanka and board certified as consultant psychiatrist in 1993.

I worked in Victoria Australia for 4 years before migrated to New Zealand in 2001 and have been working both in government sector and private sector as a vocationally registered psychiatrist.

I am an affiliate member of royal Australian and New Zealand college of psychiatrists. I supervise medical undergraduates from university of Auckland who attend psychiatry rotations in Mental health services, provide clinical supervision to house officers and registrars from Auckland registrar trainee program and supervise GP interns who have special interest in psychiatry. 

 I am keen to see patients with psychotic disorders, mood disorders, anxiety disorders and ADHD.

 I am a good listener and an empathic psychiatrist
