Profile

Dr Emma Parry is a Specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist and a sub-specialist in Maternal Fetal Medicine. She is Clinical Director at the Auckland District Health Board and the New Zealand Maternal Fetal Medicine Network (NZMFMN).

In 2010, Emma was the first recipient of the Next Magazine Woman of the Year award for her work improving access and quality of High Risk Maternity Services for women in New Zealand. She has also used her skills in Bhutan, a small country in the Himalayas, helping to establish a High Risk Service during a 3-month stay.

Emma is well known within the field of Obstetrics and Gynaecology both in New Zealand and Australia and is involved in training and teaching for both medical and midwifery colleagues. She is a spokesperson for the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG).

Emma has varied clinical interests, but is particularly focused on multiple pregnancy, role of 3D scanning and echocardiography (ultrasound imaging of the fetal heart).

At all other times the on-call radiographer or radiologist can be contacted through the White Cross Accident and Medical Clinic at Ascot Hospital.
