Geoff is a consultant cardiologist and cardiac electrophysiologist at Christchurch Hospital and with the Christchurch Heart Group.  He also holds an appointment as a Clinical Senior Lecturer with the Department of Medicine, University of Otago.

Geoff completed his cardiology training in Christchurch before undertaking fellowship training in cardiac electrophysiology and device implantation at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff, and the Royal Brompton Hospital in London.  He worked as a consultant in south Wales for 3 years before returning to his current position at Christchurch Hospital in 2017.

His clinical practice covers the range of general cardiology, but he specialises in the diagnosis and management of heart rhythm disorders including palpitations, SVTs, atrial fibrillation and syncope, as well as having an interest in inherited cardiac conditions.  He has extensive experience in the catheter ablation of abnormal heart rhythms and the implantation of cardiac pacemakers.
