I am a New Zealand trained Geriatrician and General Physician. I chose to pursue two specialties that encouraged broad clinical experience, with emphasis on the ability to consider the whole of the patient rather than specific organs or medical conditions.
I am currently in public and private practice in the Manawatū. In Palmerston North Hospital I work as an acute physician, both in the young and elderly. I have expertise working in inter-disciplinary teams, and have found this very rewarding with respect to improving the quality of life of people under my care.
In private medical practice my focus is in complex medical care, prioritising quality of life and function by optimising management of multiple medical conditions or comorbidity. My primary goals are to enable people to understand their health situation, and navigate a path forward in their health journey in conjunction with their primary care team.
