Profile

Dr Nick Bedford specialises in minimal access approaches to pelvic pain, heavy periods and prolapse.  He undertook an additional two years of Fellowship training in advanced laparoscopy and pelvic floor repair.  Both vaginal and laparoscopic options for the management of prolapse and incontinence can be considered.  Diagnosis and management of persistent pelvic pain is also an area of interest, including use of BoTox where appropriate.

Nick is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG), and a member of the Australasian Gynaecological Endoscopy and Surgery society (AGES) and the Urogynaecological Association of Australasia (UGSA).  He holds a public appointment at Capital and Coast DHB, and is a Senior Clinical Lecturer with the Wellington branch of the Otago University Medical School.
