I’m Dr. Ray Bose, dedicated to providing expert diagnosis and treatment for a wide array of neurological disorders.

My Journey to Excellence

My medical journey began in the UK, where I completed my specialist postgraduate medical training and earned the esteemed MRCP(UK) membership from the Royal College of Physicians. I continued to specialize in neurology, receiving a specialty certificate – MRCP(UK)(Neurology), and a completion certification in neurology (CCT).

Dedicated Research and Recognition

I’ve always been fascinated by the complexity of headaches. To delve deeper into understanding these conditions, I conducted intricate research at the renowned King’s College London. Through the use of an innovative MRI technique known as arterial spin-labeled (ASL) MRI, I explored various aspects and phases of migraines. My research contributions were recognised with a Doctorate in Clinical Neuroscience from King’s College London.

For my significant contributions to medicine, I was honoured to receive the title of Fellow from The Royal College of Physicians, London, and the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.

In-depth Experience and Patient-First Approach

As an Auckland-based neurologist, I bring my international experience and cutting-edge knowledge to the fore, specialising in a range of neurological disorders. Staying updated with the latest healthcare developments, I have substantial experience in treating chronic migraines with Botox, implementing greater occipital nerve blocks, and utilising neuromodulation for headache disorders. I have also been involved in clinical trials using novel CGRP antibodies for headache disorders.

For patients struggling with persistent headaches, I can arrange advanced treatments such as nerve blocks, Botox, CGRP monoclonal antibodies, and neuromodulation (non-invasive vagal nerve stimulation), following thorough assessments.

I believe in a patient-centric approach where you are given ample time to discuss your symptoms, ensuring a comprehensive diagnosis. I’ve successfully diagnosed and resolved a number of challenging neurological cases.
