I am a Specialist Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) Surgeon with over two decades of experience in managing a comprehensive range of ENT conditions in both adults and children. I am currently based on Auckland’s North Shore, where I consult privately at the Lakeside Specialist Centre in Takapuna. In addition to my private practice, I serve as a Consultant ENT Surgeon within the Waitemata District Health Board.

Originally from Durban, South Africa, I relocated to New Zealand in December 2022 with a view to continuing my professional journey in a new healthcare environment. 

I completed my medical degree in 1997, and began my formal ENT training in 2004, qualifying as a specialist ENT surgeon in 2007.

My early career in South Africa’s public health system provided a robust foundation in ENT surgery. The high volume and wide spectrum of cases allowed me to develop extensive clinical and surgical expertise at an accelerated pace. I served as a consultant in the public sector until 2011, during which time I was also responsible for registrar and medical student training, and the clinical management of a busy ENT department in Durban.

From 2012 to 2022, I operated a thriving private practice at Entabeni Hospital in Durban, offering a full range of ENT services. During this time, I also received additional training in cochlear implantation - a transformative surgical intervention for people with profound hearing loss - and was privileged to offer this life-changing treatment to qualifying patients.
