Simon completed medical school at Otago University and undertook radiology training in Canberra, Australia. He has fellowships in Interventional Radiology, MRI and breast radiology from centres in Canberra and Melbourne.
 
He has worked across Australia and New Zealand, and returned to Tauranga in 2023, working at Bay Radiology and Tauranga Hospital. Simon has interests in pulmonary radiology, musculoskeletal and neuroradiology, as well as breast radiology.
