Dr Verona Botha is a specialist ophthalmologist with subspeciality fellowship training in cataract, oculoplastic, lacrimal and orbital surgery.
Originally from South Africa, Dr Botha immigrated to New Zealand in 2010. She completed her ophthalmology training while working in multiple centres in New Zealand. She then spent two years in the United Kingdom obtaining further subspeciality training at the prestigious West of England Eye Unit and the University Hospital of Wales.
Dr Botha has written a variety of articles in peer reviewed journals and has been an invited speaker at national and international meetings. She is actively involved in board governance of the Royal Australia New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists and is passionate about providing her patients with the best outcomes.
