Profile

Dr Zaid Matti worked in the orthopaedic departments of a number of hospitals across New Zealand and later in general practice and urgent care before training and specialising in musculoskeletal medicine.

His postgraduate training was completed in New Zealand and included qualifications in sports medicine and surgical anatomy as well as the formal specialty of musculoskeletal medicine. 

Dr Matti is passionate about Regenerative Musculoskeletal Medicine; an evolving field that utilises cellular therapies called orthobiologics combined with precise delivery into musculoskeletal tissue under the guidance of ultrasound or x-ray. Dr Matti's other clinical interests include interventions in pain management, point of care ultrasound, and acute and chronic musculoskeletal problems in adults, particularly spinal, hip, knee and shoulder pain.
