The Lymphoedema Service is part of the Adult Rehabilitation & Health of Older People Service and is based at Middlemore Hospital, 100 Hospital Rd, Mangere, with satellite clinics at Botany and Manukau SuperClinics.
The Lymphoedema Team are multidisciplinary registered healthcare professionals, specialised in the assessment and treatment of lymphoedema.
The Counties Manukau Health Lymphoedema Service provides assessment, treatment and self management plans. It also provides education and awareness of the risk of developing lymphoedema and to minimise its impact.
Although lymphoedema is a chronic condition it can be well managed.
Referrals are accepted from all health professionals on the designated Lymphoedema Service referral form. Referrals should be made via e-referrals (CareConnect referrals eReferrals.co.nz) Health of Older People, Allied Health, Lymphoedema.
Referrals may be made for people of all ages residing in a domestic residence within the CMDHB area.
A letter will be sent to patients on receipt of referral. Patients accepted for treatment will be placed on a waiting list and contacted with an appointment as soon as a practitioner is available. If your condition becomes worse while you are waiting to be assessed, you should contact your GP.
You may also wish to contact a private lymphoedema therapist at your own cost. A list of private therapists can be found at www.lymphodemanz.org.nz
There are no charges for services to public patients if you are lawfully in New Zealand and meet one of the Eligibility Directions specified criteria set by the Ministry of Health. If you do not meet the criteria, you will be required to pay for the full costs of any medical treatment you receive during your stay.

This notice is to inform you that the walking distance from the Station Entrance to Reception A is one kilometre.
It is recommended that you enter Colvin Complex Building 31 at Carpark 6 which is directly outside Reception A, Colvin Complex.
To get to Carpark 6, enter the carpark by turning into Main Gate 1 at the roundabout on Hospital Road. Follow the main driveway until you arrive at Carpark 6 on the right. Please see the map enclosed for more detail.
You have been provided with a car parking permit, please place this on your dashboard where this can be clearly seen. You will still be required to pay for parking when you exit the hospital. If you are being dropped off there is free parking for 15mins only or 30mins after 2pm.
Botany SuperClinic - Free parking is available at the front and side of the East Care complex.
Manukau SuperClinic - Free parking is available in front of the building.
Middlemore Hospital - Parking fees apply.
