There is a dedicated team of research staff:

  • Helena Faherty - Research Administration Assistant

We run a variety of research studies with both type 1 and type 2 diabetes, aimed to help better understand and treat diabetes.

At the Endocrine, Diabetes & Research Centre we aim to contribute to national and international research that is being done to gain a better understanding of diabetes and diabetes therapies.

We are currently looking for volunteers for a number of different research studies. Eligibility criteria vary between the studies. You may or may not be eligible depending on:

  • your age
  • medications
  • other more specific reasons which we discuss with you.
Our research studies vary in length from just one visit to regular clinic visits over several years. For most studies you will be reimbursed for your travel costs.
Some studies include diabetes counselling and diet advice at no cost.
