Visiting Hours
CM Health has introduced flexible visiting.
Please note that while under COVID restrictions our visiting policies may change.
In these situations, we will discuss the limitations and rationale with each family/whaanau while attempting to come to a suitable solution.
Otherwise in all other situations:
- Visiting hours for family/whaanau are 2pm – 8pm. Two visitors per patient at any one time during visiting hours.
- Patients may have one key support person who may visit between 8am – 8pm This will be restricted to adults only.
- Overnight visiting (8pm – 8am) for the key support person will be considered under compassionate grounds only.
- Children under 16 years will need to have adult supervision while visiting the Intensive Unit.

There are some specialised services in the hospital where visiting hours may vary, for example, the Delivery Suite, or Intensive Care Unit. In these cases, signs will be in place with the relevant information. If you are not sure, please feel free to contact us at the numbers listed below:

Parking
Patients may be dropped off or picked up from outside the Hospital main entrance, which has a small number of free short-term parks reserved for this purpose only. Please consider others and remove cars as soon as possible.
Mobility Parking spaces can be located near most of the entrances around the hospital. Please ensure you display an authorised mobility parking pass at all times. Click here for more information about mobility parking at Counties Manukau DHB locations.
Parking for all other visitors is available in designated paid visitor parking spaces around the Middlemore Campus. There is a new public designated parking area beside the new Edmund Hillary Block. Please follow the signs and to enter the visitor car park insert your ticket barcode up. Remove the ticket and the barrier will rise.
Autopay stations are located throughout the carpark and Hospital main entrance. After validating your ticket you have 15 minutes to exit the carpark otherwise extra payment is required.

over 4 hours | $23.00 |
Lost ticket fee | $46.00 |
Free parking for 30 minutes between 2pm - 8pm
Between 2.00pm - 8.00pm visitors can park for 30 minutes with no charge. The visitor must leave within the 30 minutes otherwise normal rates apply.
Hours of operation: 24 hours per day / 7 days a week
