Description

Southland Hospital's Diagnostic Testing Department provides specialised inpatient and outpatient diagnostic procedures in the fields of cardiology, respiratory and sleep.

Services include:

  • Cardiology: Electrocardiogram (ECG); Ambulatory ECG; Event Monitoring; Exercise Tolerance Testing; Echocardiography; Ambulatory Blood Pressure; and Pacemaker evaluation.
  • Respiratory: Spirometry, Full Pulmonary Function Testing, Mannitol Bronchial Provocation Challenge; ENO Studies; and Six Minute Walk tests.
  • Sleep: Sleep Studies; CPAP and NIV treatment.

Referral Expectations

Referrals for diagnostic tests must come either via your general practitioner, private specialist or hospital specialist.  Self referral is not accepted.
